Help fly America’s first responder heroes to NYC for national awards

First Responders Children's Foundation hosts the nation’s preeminent celebration for National First Responders Day on October 28 recognizing heroes from across the country for their extraordinary service. Live from Times Square, NYC National First Responders Day honors the courage, sacrifice, and service of first responders across America.

Your generosity helps ensure that America’s most deserving first responders can be honored — no matter where they serve or how far they need to travel. By donating miles, you help remove the burden of travel costs and make it possible for heroic first responders and their families to attend this unforgettable national celebration.

Thanks to supporters like you, distance is never a barrier to receiving the recognition they deserve. Thank you for helping us bring these heroes to New York City so our nation can honor them properly.

About us

First Responders Children’s Foundation is the only national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the children and families of first responders. We foster resilience and potential through a variety of impact programs, including scholarships, mental health resiliency, financial assistance, bereavement support, emergency hardship relief, natural disaster relief, and community engagement initiatives — as well as marquee events like National First Responders Day and our Thanksgiving Day Parade Viewing & Breakfast. Founded in 2001 in the wake of 9/11, First Responders Children’s Foundation remains more relevant than ever nearly 25 years later. First responder families continue to face enormous challenges stemming from the demanding nature of the profession — from financial insecurity and mental health struggles to the devastating impacts of pandemics, extreme weather events, and wildfires. As first responders continue to answer the call every day, we remain committed to supporting the families who stand beside them.
