Your donated United miles will directly power our mission to end homelessness:

  • Staff & Volunteer Travel — Fund flights for our teams to rapidly open and operate new Triage Welcome Centers across the country.
  • Family & Client Transportation — Help move individuals and families from streets or unsafe situations into safe hotel-based shelter and onward to stable housing.
  • Rapid Response & Scaling — Enable quick deployment of coordinators, trainers, and support teams to partner cities launching our Welcome Center model.

Every mile goes toward actual flights that accelerate our 3-year plan to eradicate homelessness — without relying on new taxpayer dollars. We convert unused miles (that often expire anyway) into real beds, dignity, and pathways out of homelessness. Impact Example:
10,000 miles ≈ , one critical flight for a team member to set up shelter for dozens of people.
100,000 miles = major momentum toward launching multiple Welcome Centers.

About us

GiveARoof.org is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 99-2925258) founded April 30, 2024, in Cupertino, CA, by hospitality veteran Claudio Bono. Our mission: eradicate U.S. homelessness in three years (by 2028) — at zero taxpayer cost — by converting airline miles, hotel points, and credit-card rewards that expire worthless annually into immediate, dignified shelter. How it works: Donors and United Airlines contribute unused miles/points (or cash). We convert them into hotel nights at partner properties. Guests enter Triage Welcome Centers for screening, grooming, clothing, life coaching, therapy, job/vocational training, and clear exit paths to stability (focusing on those who can succeed quickly, excluding active severe MH/substance cases). We unite nonprofits via a national shared database to eliminate overlap and duplication, while advocating IRS §170 changes for easier point donations. Benefits: individuals are in shelter fast.
