About us

Feeding America® is the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States. Through a network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs, we helped provide 5.2 billion meals to tens of millions of people in need last year. Feeding America supports programs that reduce food waste and improve food security among the people we serve, raise awareness of the social and systemic barriers that lead to food insecurity and promote policies that safeguard people from hunger. We serve people in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico and are one of the most effective and efficient nonprofit organizations in the nation. As the second-largest nonprofit in the U.S., Feeding America directly invests 98% of donations to programs and services that reach people in need. Feeding America holds a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, received a 99% fundraising efficiency rating from Forbes and is accredited by the Better Business Bureau through its Wise Giving Alliance.
