We’ve seen devastating scenes of wreckage in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, after the worst flooding to hit the region in 80 years. The flooding has displaced over half a million people, with the rising death toll surpassing 140 people.
As a global airline, we are uniquely capable of responding to disasters and crisis situations by transporting volunteers and relief supplies to impacted areas of the world. United is proud to partner with relief organizations to support the communities in Brazil impacted by this crisis.

- Donations are non-refundable.
- Donations will be matched by United up to an aggregate of $50,000 USD in matching donations – a maximum of $25,000 for each organization, and donations will be matched on a first-come, first served basis to the charities receiving donations. Only donations made to Airlink and Global Giving on donate.mileageplus.com/brazil-flooding-relief will be matched, offline donations do not qualify.

- Donation must be made by 11:59pm CST on June 30, 2024, to qualify for the match.
- United will match 100% of miles donations received by the specified charities during the promotional period up to an aggregate of one (1) million MileagePlus bonus award miles across all charities, and donations will be matched on a first-come, first-served basis to the charities receiving donations.
