Donate MileagePlus miles or money to support wildfire relief
The Southern California wildfires have caused widespread destruction and displaced thousands. United has donated $100,000 to two local California nonprofits, the LA Regional Food Bank and California Fire Foundation, but you can make our impact even greater. We will match additional donations up to $150,000 and 5 million miles. Your donation will directly support partners with the necessary resources during each phase of recovery.

Airlink is a rapid-response disaster relief organization that helps 200+ nonprofit partners save lives, deliver supplies, and rebuild communities in crisis thanks to the power of aviation.
Good360
Good 360 gets donated products to nonprofits working in disasters. Funding support fades fast but Good360 ensures long-term recovery support for communities.
World Central Kitchen
World Central Kitchen (WCK) uses the power of food to nourish communities and strengthen economies in times of crisis.

LA Regional Food Bank
In times of disaster, LA Regional Food Bank is committed to meeting the increased needs of the community for those that are unhoused or displaced. Please join us in supporting the LA community during this critical time.
California Fire Foundation:
The California Fire Foundation is working with local fire agencies and community-based organizations to provide direct financial support to impacted residents as details of the damage emerge.
Southern California Wildfires Support – January 2025 Terms and Conditions
United Airlines MileagePlus® Southern California Wildfires Support matching cash gift terms and conditions:
- Donation must be made between January 11, 2025 and 11:59pm CST on January 31, 2025.
- Donations are non-refundable.
- United cannot provide tax advice regarding your donation or its tax deductibility. Please consult your personal tax advisor with questions about how this may affect your tax return.
- Donations will be matched by United up to an aggregate of $150,000 USD in matching donations – a maximum of $25,000 for each organization. Only donations made to the identified Southern California Support Nonprofit Partners using the links found on https://donate.mileageplus.com/california-wildfires will be matched, offline donations do not qualify.

- For a MileagePlus member’s miles donation to a charity to be matched by United, donation of miles must be made at https://donate.mileageplus.com/california-wildfires and must be a minimum of 1,000 miles. Qualifying charities: American Red Cross, Airlink, Good360, and World Central Kitchen, California Fire Foundation, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
- Donation must be made between January 11, 2025 and 11:59pm CST on January 31, 2025.

- United will match miles donations received by the specified charities during the promotional period up to an aggregate of 5 Million MileagePlus bonus award miles- a maximum of 1.25 Million per each organization, across all identified Southern California Wildfires Nonprofit Partners using the links found on https://donate.mileageplus.com/california-wildfires and donations will be matched on a first-come, first-served basis to the nonprofits receiving donations.
- Members will not receive any MileagePlus bonus award miles in connection with any matching donation made by United.
