Shortly after the strongest storm Jamaica’s history made landfall October 2025, Airlink coordinated a large-scale response with dozens of humanitarian partners to support the communities devastated. Thanks to donors who pledged frequent flier miles through United’s Miles on a Mission, Airlink helped move nearly four dozen emergency responders at no charge to ten nonprofit organizations—saving tens of thousands of dollars. Those first responders were essential in the first few days following Hurricane Melissa, as they provided emergency medical assistance and healthcare services, made and delivered nutritious meals for families, installed clean water and hygiene stations, and began clearing roads and mitigating heavy damage to the cities' infrastructure. Today, Airlink continues to partner with United and utilize donated miles to support the long-term recovery needs in Jamaica.
